Anti-static rack-aware crating
ESD-safe wrap on every unit, anti-static work surfaces at disconnect and re-rack, rack-aware boxing for full-cabinet moves — standard practice, not an upsell.
Moving servers and data centre equipment is not the same as moving office furniture. The risk profile is different — equipment value is concentrated, downtime windows are tight, anti-static handling is mandatory, and your IT team needs the move sequenced around their power-down and bring-up.
Anti-static handling, rack-aware crating, IT-led runsheet and a tight chain of custody from disconnect to power-up. The operational layer your data centre move actually needs.
ESD-safe wrap on every unit, anti-static work surfaces at disconnect and re-rack, rack-aware boxing for full-cabinet moves — standard practice, not an upsell.
Joint planning locks the cut-over window, named responsibilities and signed-off rack diagrams. One PM keeps the runsheet on track — clean handoff, both ways.
Climate-controlled vehicles for interstate distance, air-ride suspension on city moves, shock sensors on high-value crates. Chain of custody documented from dock to dock.
Overnight and weekend windows are the norm for multi-rack moves. We staff to the window your IT team needs — not the window that suits a 9-to-5 crew.
One project manager runs every move from survey to power-up, with three workstreams in parallel for every engagement.
Three things. First, the equipment itself (rack servers, network switches, SANs, UPS units, KVM consoles) is fragile under physical shock and vulnerable to electrostatic discharge.

What we handle: physical disconnect of equipment from racks (after your IT team has powered down), anti-static wrap and crating per piece, rack-aware boxing for full-rack moves, climate-controlled vehicles for inter-state distance moves, transport with shock-monitoring on high-value gear.

A standard server move runs as a four-stage choreography. Stage 1: IT shuts down servers, saves state, and signs off "ready to move." Stage 2: Florette disconnects, crates, and transports. Stage 3: Florette re-installs into destination racks per the IT team's rack diagram.

Klang Valley to Klang Valley single-rack moves usually run inside a 4–8 hour weekend window. Multi-rack consolidations across Cyberjaya, KLCC and Petaling Jaya typically need an overnight or full weekend cut-over. Full data centre relocations — including interstate moves to Bayan Lepas FIZ in Penang or the Iskandar Puteri data centre cluster — are quoted after a detailed site survey, and usually span 2–3 day weekend windows with parallel teams on source and destination floors.
Klang Valley city moves inside a 4–8 hour cut-over window — anti-static wrap, air-ride transport, re-rack to your IT team's diagram.
Overnight or weekend windows for 2–6 rack consolidations — one runsheet, named responsibilities, sequenced power-down and bring-up.
2–3 day weekend windows for full data centre moves — site survey, climate-controlled interstate transport, parallel source/destination teams.
Klang Valley to Klang Valley moves are the most common — same-day execution typical. Cyberjaya tech corporates, KLCC corporate data centres, Bangsar South tech tenancies, Petaling Jaya commercial. Interstate: Klang Valley to Penang (Bayan Lepas FIZ has heavy semiconductor and tech tenancy), Klang Valley to Johor (Iskandar Puteri data centre cluster). For interstate moves, equipment travels in climate-controlled vehicles with shock monitoring on high-value shipments.
Rack-mounted servers (1U, 2U, 4U), blade servers, network switches and routers, firewall appliances, SANs and storage arrays, UPS units (smaller — large UPS systems need specialist handling beyond our scope), KVM consoles, server racks (full-cabinet moves with internal equipment), and patch panels. Specialty equipment beyond standard rack gear (HSM appliances, mainframes, large-scale UPS) is assessed case-by-case — we'll be honest if it's beyond our scope and recommend a specialist.
All Risk transit insurance through Berjaya Insurance Berhad applies to server moves with declared values. For high-value data centre moves, we issue specific COIs to the corporate client. Indemnity for data integrity and operational uptime is your IT team's scope — Florette covers physical loss or damage, not consequential losses from mis-configuration or downtime caused by IT-side issues.
Server moves are quoted by equipment volume, distance, and IT-coordination complexity. Indicative ranges: small server room (5-10 servers, single rack) RM 4,000-8,000. Mid-size (20-40 servers, 2-3 racks) RM 10,000-20,000. Full data centre relocations quoted after detailed survey. Pricing covers physical move only — your IT team's hours for power-down/bring-up are separate.
Server and data centre relocations form part of our 25+ Fortune-500 corporate client portfolio since 2016. Sectors include banking and financial services (data centre consolidations), pharmaceuticals (R&D facility moves), and government missions (secure equipment moves). Representative feedback from IT and facilities leads we've worked with on server and data centre moves.
Clean handoff between our team and theirs. Anti-static handling was visible from minute one, the runsheet matched our cut-over plan, and the re-rack matched our diagram unit-for-unit. Bring-up landed inside the window.
They were honest about scope — physical move only, IT-side is ours. That clarity is rare. Climate-controlled transport on the interstate leg, COI issued to procurement, weekend window held to the hour.
Indicative pricing by equipment volume, distance and IT-coordination complexity. Detailed quote within 24 hours of a site survey.
Small server room, 5–10 servers, single rack — Klang Valley city moves inside a 4–8 hour window.
20–40 servers, 2–3 racks — overnight or weekend cut-over with a co-owned IT runsheet.
Full DC moves — including interstate to Penang or Johor — quoted after a detailed site survey.
The questions IT leads and facilities heads ask most often before booking a server or DC move.
No — that's your IT team's scope. We handle the physical move only. Pretending to do both leads to disasters. Clean handoff is the only model that works.
Depends on equipment volume and distance. Single-rack moves within Klang Valley typically 4-8 hours of downtime. Multi-rack moves with interstate distance usually need an overnight or weekend window. Your IT team's bring-up time is separate from our move time.
Yes — anti-static wrap on every piece of equipment, ESD-safe handling protocols, anti-static work surfaces during disconnect and re-rack. Standard practice for server moves.
Yes — single PM per engagement coordinates with your IT team or vendor. Pre-move planning meetings establish the cut-over window, named responsibilities, and signed-off rack diagrams.
Yes — All Risk transit cover via Berjaya Insurance Berhad with declared value. For high-value data centre moves, we issue specific COIs to the corporate client.
Yes — full data centre moves are quoted after a detailed site survey covering equipment inventory, IT coordination needs, transport route, and destination installation requirements. Larger DC moves typically span 2-3 day weekend windows.
Most server engagements pull from these adjacent services — run by the same PM model and the same operations team.
