Florette · Household Packing Services

The most common packing service we run — full-home pack-outs for families moving locally within Malaysia or shipping abroad. Florette's household packing follows a room-by-room methodology with double-walled boxes, full inventory, furniture disassembly and reassembly, and a 4-person crew that gets through a typical 3-bedroom home in a day. Bundled into most move quotes; available standalone for clients who'll handle their own transport.

What we cover

What every move includes

One project manager runs every move from survey to settled-in, with three workstreams in parallel.

How a household How a household pack-out actually runs

How a household pack-out actually runs

We start with a free survey. The PM walks the home, identifies fragile concentrations, notes furniture that needs disassembly, flags items needing special handling (artwork, electronics, plants), and confirms the inventory baseline.

Room-by-room timing

Typical 1-bedroom apartment: half-day with 2-person crew. 2-bedroom apartment: 1 day with 3-person crew. 3-bedroom condo or landed home: 1 day with 4-person crew. 4-bedroom-plus home: 1.5 to 2 days with 5-6 person crew. Time scales with fragile content, not just bedroom count — a 2-bedroom expat home with significant art and antiques may take longer than a 3-bedroom student family.

What's covered (and what isn't)

Standard scope: kitchen (cookware, dinnerware, dry pantry — non-perishable), living areas (furniture, electronics, books, decor), bedrooms (clothes, linens, personal effects), bathrooms (toiletries — non-aerosol, towels). Standard fragile protection for typical items.

Excluded by default: hazardous items (paint, chemicals, fuels, lighter fluid, aerosols), perishable food, plants (some destinations restrict; we'll advise), cash and jewellery (you keep these in carry-luggage), prohibited items per destination (e.g., chewing gum to Singapore, food to Australia/NZ).

Inventory you receive

Stamped, signed inventory list with every box numbered and content-tagged. Digital copy photographed at pack-out. Used for: your unpacking reference, customs documentation (international moves), insurance documentation. Shows up missing or damaged items at delivery against the original list.

Pricing — bundled vs standalone

For local Malaysian moves and international moves, packing is bundled into the move quote — you don't see a separate "packing" line item. For standalone packing (you'll handle transport via another mover or self-shipping), we quote by volume — typical 3-bedroom standalone packing RM 1,500-2,500 plus materials.

Insurance bundled

Berjaya Insurance Berhad covers loss or damage from packing through delivery as standard. Coverage based on declared value at pack-out. For high-value items, value-up at pack-out — we don't backdate insurance after damage.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions clients ask us most often before booking.

Can I just have you pack but use my own mover for transport?

Yes — standalone packing service available. Quote by volume. Useful for clients who're using a different transport partner or shipping themselves.

Do you bring all the packing materials?

Yes — boxes, bubble wrap, foam, tape, markers, mattress covers, wardrobe boxes. You don't source separately. Unused materials are not billed.

How long does household packing take?

1-bedroom half-day, 2-bedroom 1 day, 3-bedroom 1 day with larger crew, 4-bedroom-plus 1.5-2 days. Heavy fragile content extends timing.

Will you disassemble and reassemble furniture?

Yes — beds, wardrobes, dining tables, bookshelves, desks. Standard included service.

What can't you pack?

Hazardous items (paint, chemicals, fuels, aerosols), perishable food, cash and jewellery (keep in carry-luggage), and items prohibited by destination customs (we flag during survey).

Is the packing insured?

Yes — Berjaya Insurance Berhad covers loss or damage from packing through delivery. Coverage based on declared value at pack-out.
